If you are in a relationship, what are you getting your man for Valentine's Day? I have always considered myself pretty generous with my boyfriend and splurge on him with random things throughout the year (or should I say months, as we've been together for 8 months so far.) However, when it comes to V-day, I am always puzzled with men. I always looked at it as more of a "woman's holiday".

My boyfriend is really into holistic and natural healing and whatnot, and is going through a very stressful period of time. I was thinking maybe a little getaway or something, or a trip to a spa together or something similar...He is into that just as much as I am.

I don't know. I am kind of stumped right now.

Usually, lingerie and a BJ.

To clarify, I wear the former and give the latter. ;)

If your BF is holistic I think a spa getaway is a lovely gift. Following elswyth's suggestion while you are at the spa would be doubly nice.

DH & I are giving each other a trip this year. We did a trip 2 years ago.

Usually he gets me candy & I get him pink or red clothes.

I got him a Star Wars tin with chocolates in it, a glass from a show he likes that has "drinking game" things on it (like, whenever so and so does this, take a sip) and a credit card scanner he wanted.

Ha, only V-day gift I can recall receiving during my M was a B&B getaway and one of my exW's clients paid for it! Still, it was nice and in line with what I value as something 'extra'; couple time together.

You were doing so well, until you uttered these words :(

Is this suppose to be the answer to everything then? BJs are a dozen a penny...I personally won't fall for that. Just saying ;)

Uh, never said it was. If you've noticed, the question was "If you are in a relationship, what are you getting your man for Valentine's Day?", not "What can I give my bf on VDay to guarantee that he will love me forever?". Which is a good thing, because there is no answer to the latter.

The majority of things that are given as gifts are a dime a dozen, if you really want to go down that road. Most people are able to purchase them themselves if they want. What makes a gift special in comparison to those is the thought behind it and the preferences of the person receiving it.

I also see no need for you to 'fall for that', because you certainly aren't the recipient of my gift, so it doesn't matter. ;)

Same here

This year among other things he is getting me a red bra...I had to repeat the size about 10 times. It is the color of the year that turns him on...last year was see thru black.. Never can figure guys out but doesn't matter as when it comes to fetishes men are as rational as an amoeba.

This we can both agree on, everything else is irrelevant. The whole bloody thing is so commercialized, and the ads on radio/TV are so biased it's not even funny. Same goes for father's/mother's day
