jba10582 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 As a person who likes to learn new things...it seems like people demonize other for learning. PUA (some women complain about this) or mainstream media advice given to women "The Rules" ect (some men complain about). I have read the rules, and dabbled in the inner game stuff especially after my break-up and actually think some of it would help woman as well. I encourage everyone to read and learn about anything you want. Some people here don't believe in good and evil and everything is grAy (so I am pretty sure none of this matters to them)...a lot of people do believe and have strong opinions on this. Having strong beliefs with their own set of good morals or logic, wisdom, intelligence, good judgment ect... I don't believe in censoring very much information personally, whatever you want to learn, go for it (what you do it with it is on you)....I am not saying that anyone here ever called for censoring, but, it seems some topics here get demonized...and not just the stuff mentioned in the topic. People are people, human, and full of errors and flaws, but if you were a perfectly logical, moral (if you believe in morals), intelligent being with strong beliefs, then you could understand the worst stuff imaginable and use it for a good purpose (not a self-righteous purpose). Learning something will NEVER make you a bad person. I see the projection of people complaining about it because it doesn't follow their beliefs.... you have your own freedom to learn and to hold on to whatever you believe.
Antenna_Of_Destiny Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 There is something about "learning how to do better with women" that make some people irrationally lose their minds. Learning how to be a better public speaker is okay, learning how to be a better negotiator is okay, learning how to be a better salesman is okay, but learning how to do better with women oh no we can't have that can we? 2
Author jba10582 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 the information is readily available to men and women good girl gets played from bad guy good guy can't get response from bad girl
KathyM Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I think women are all in favor of men developing better social skills, learning to have more confidence in approaching women, and learning a better art of communication and social interaction with women. What women are objecting to with PUA techniques (and I know many women in real life who despise these techniques) is that they are geared towards preying on the insecurities and self esteem of women, and manipulating them using put downs and other demeaning tactics, and generally behaving like *******s to women. 1
Author jba10582 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 I saw your earlier thread and was interested in your responses, you seem to have a slight resent towards pua almost considering it to be offensive and abusive. One of the things that had led me to it was some of the books on break-ups I had read immediately following what I experienced while I was not exactly in the best state of mind and espcially the inner game. It works on the self-esteem and confidence issues of men, and could easily apply to insecurities and a self-esteem of women as well.
