antineutrino Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 By the time Valentine's day rolls around, we'll have known each other for 8 weeks or so. I know flowers are a fairly traditional gift (or at least part of a gift), but she's terrible at keeping plants/flowers/etc alive. So I thought it would be cute to get her a nice fake flower (w/ pot) as sort of an inside joke. I know most people say fake plants are a bad idea for Valentine's day, but I figured it might be different in this circumstance?
Phantom888 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Fake flowers with marijuana is a great idea. You can smoke out together. 5
Author antineutrino Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Hahaha, I meant with a pot, so it's not a standalone flower. Wooops.
Barbarossa Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I agree with phantom give the lady some pot with her flower 1
Grumpybutfun Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 What are her interests? Does she like to read? Anything by Jane Austen women love if they read. Does she collect something specific? Does she have a hobby you can contribute to? Can you take her on an adventure like wall climbing or snowboarding? I would not do fake flowers...if you are going to go that route, get a bouquet of her favorite flowers in an elegant vase that can be reused. Good luck, G
newmoon Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 fake flowers are just fine for the non-gardening woman. i have fake floral arrangements all over the house and they are gorgeous. but if you're intending it as a 'joke' then have a little something extra to show they were given in humor in case she takes it the wrong way. a book, some chocolates, scarf, hat, etc.
d0nnivain Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 If you give her those as a joke . . . maybe but you have to get her a real gift too. A box of chocolate would be good. Chocolate roses might fix both issues.
theediblewoman Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I think the fake flower is kind of cute but definitely have a little something extra with it. Otherwise I once got a guy I was dating a bouquet of chocolate dipped strawberries that were on stick like these chocolate dipped strawberry bouquet | foodgawker Like flowers only tastier and you could easily make something like this!
