I'll be curious to see how many men find protruding hip bones attractive - though I realise that's not the main attraction here My stomach is flat and I have a good layer of muscle on my core so don't get much of a bridge. I think it's closest to the 6th picture down (with the 25 May 2013 label). I'm happy with that. 1

However I have seen more often the selfie view looking down on the breasts as in one of the photos. I always thought that kind of interesting view - more from a "oh thats what its like to be a gal and look down and see those puppies all the time-must be distracting":p 1

The have to sit their camera/phone on their chest for that shot I think.

I don't think it's any different than some women's desires for thigh gaps or protruding collarbones, tho. I doubt many men notice or care about details like that. Personally, I think thigh gaps are gross, but like bony collarbones and actually I am a fan of the protruding hip bones. They remind me of a boy I dated in college. We were both skinny back then and I would wrap my arm around his waist and place my hand on his hip, feeling the bone move as we walked. I guess it's a weird memory and not exactly sexy but hip bones make me nostalgic. I didnt know there was a (fake) name for this phenomena, but for that reason I do enjoy when my body fat drops down low enough to get the bikini bridge thing going. However, it's not something I would ever aim for as an aesthetic/ firness goal. I think I have disproportionately large hip bones because it comes pretty naturally to me without being thin by any means.

There's a pic out there that looks exactly the pic you referred to with two uber-thin thighs glistening in the sun but is actually 2 skinny hot dogs. Hilarious. LOL yup. Shepp Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Wow....I'm not liking that super protruding hip bone thing - it seems unnatural, or maybe "supernatural" - too much like what there skeleton would look like if they were dead for me! 2 & 5 need to eat something!! 8 & 10 are fit though. I confess I do find a flat stomach very attractive but I prefer a bit more muscle tone than like physically seeing someone's actual bone. 1

I think some try to achieve it, the same way as they like to have thigh gaps. Or that hollow look when they suck in their stomach. Horrible. Why not just have a nice layer of muscle over the abdomens I'll never understand. 1
