How does this dating thing work :/

Hi guys

 

So I was in a committed five year relationship which ended because he cheated on me. Afterwards, I met this other guy who seemed like Mr.Perfect initially and started coming onto me and we were almost official, but then I don't know what changed and he started officially dating someone else. I was devastated because he promised me the moon and the stars and I felt betrayed once again. For a while I wished he would come back but I soon realised that that was not going to happen. I stayed single for a while but I have just met someone new. Its still early days but I want it to be just right. We started talking online and he seems really nice. Should I ask him out to coffee or does he? I have been out of practice for a while. Sorry for being incredibly naive.

 

Oh and the glitch to this situation is that I'm moving to a new city soon but I really like this guy and if it were to work, we would be doing long distance. Would most guys be put off with that?
