When athletes pray I really don't think they pray to win the game. They pray to have the strength to perform the best and to come out of it healthy. If anyone actually prays to win a game they have no idea what prayer is.

So true! Sports is so much more than winning.

 

 

Sacrificing yourself physically, learning determination and perseverance, and building character can be done in the venue of a recreational sport, while giving a testament to God's glory!

 

 

I like the movie Facing the Giants (as it relates to the above :)).
