MrNate 2.0 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Little by little I can tell that something will be attempted. I feel like some awkwardness may come shortly, as I'm not really a fan of dating where I work (****ting where you eat.) How do I let this not get to a weird point? I mean it could just all be in my head, but my gut is telling me otherwise. Did I get handsome or something recently?
Art_Critic Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I always found that the direct approach when faced with the attempt is the best, if you brush it off or ignore it it will get uncomfortable, if she makes a play for you then you need to tell her straight up, you don't mess with coworkers, at least being straight up you have the chance to save the professional relationship.. 1
truth_seeker Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Let me guess... she says "hi" all of the sudden? She's giving you more attention? It's happened to me. All of the sudden a woman is paying attention to me. Here's what's up - she's recently single or has been single, she thought of this idea of you being a good fit for her, so now she's going to drop hints hoping you make a move. If you don't make a move, then she will act like there was never any interest in you... her excuses will be lined up: I was just being friendly. I would never date a co-worker. You got the wrong idea. You're not my type, sorry!!! All lies so she can save face. If you do not like this woman, do this: put it out there how you have been talking to a woman and hope it goes somewhere. It will tell her your focus is on another woman and not her, and you can still act single as you can always say: "It never went anywhere." The idea is to think like a woman and throw their tactics right in their face. 2
