Queen B Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Last night I went out with a friend for ONE BEER and some wings. This morning I woke up with a killer, hangover type headache that feels like I drank 12 beers, not one. This has happened a few times now and I can't make sense of it. I have one beer with food and usually lots of water with the hot wings and this one beer never makes me "feel drunk". I can drink wine without a problem so I'm beginning to wonder if I'm allergic to beer? Does anyone else get these mysterious beer headaches?
Mr Spock Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Booze headaches. All depends on how you process it I supopse. Take vitamin B supplements, my firefighter friend feeds them to me supposed to cut down on hangover.
LucreziaBorgia Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 It could also be a sensitivity to hops in certain beers. Does it happen with all beers or just certain brands you've tried?
Author Queen B Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 I never thought of that. I uisually drink whatever's on special at bars and that's usually the big names here in Canada, Moosehead, Canadain, Kieths...they're all either lagers or IPA's.
moimeme Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 What about imports? Corona? What about the microbreweries? Or have you given ales a try? It could be that you do have some sort of sensitivity to whatever's in the beer.
Author Queen B Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 perhaps some night, when I don't have to get up the next day for work, I'll try a different type of beer...
