Just went to some stores this morning.. Saw them selling valentines day stuff cards, chocolates, flowers, teddy bears.

I remembered 5 months ago I planned a boat dinner this valentines for my ex.. I just hate the valentines day now..

Hope that day never existed for broken hearted and single's. lol

I know how you feel. Last year my ex and I did a long distance Skype dinner date and were counting down the days until I moved across the world to be with him forever. Now I'm pregnant and alone after he turned out to be an abusive monster, so I'm not looking forward to everyone being all lovely dovey either! Hang in there x

Holidays are tough, especially sappy holidays like 'Valentines Day'

If there is one piece of advice I can give you, which I am also trying to follow, is that you just need to take it ONE DAY AT A TIME.. Don't let your mind wander off down the road. It will eat you alive. One day at a time, one minute at a time, one second at a time.

I hear you. Normally I'm immune to Valentine's Day but because it falls on a Friday this year, a lot of businesses are hyping it up more than usual. And the hype will only increase as the day gets closer.

My birthday is February 8th, so I'll be sure to soak up all the bday love that day and hope it'll carry me through until well after Valentine's day is over :D

valentine's day is a meaningless holiday - start to reframe how you think of it. as commercialization and nothing more. perhaps if you can change how you think of the day it won't hold as much significance.

That was a really nice night you had planned.

She's missing out!

You will be able to do that for someone else that wouldn't be able to even stand the thought of life without you.

There are LOTS of single girls that go out on Valentine's day to a club or bar.

What I used to do when I was single is I would buy those valentine day NERDS candy, there's maybe like 10 packets or so, and a valentine card and I would literally go to the bar, chat up some girls and give them the nerds+card.

They literally melted. It was so sweet to them. Got plenty of hugs. One even wanted to buy me a drink.

The lesson I want you to take away from this is if you're planning on going out, be a giver! Make yourself memorable, and make other people's nights better because of you.

And surprisingly, your night will get so much more interesting because of it, and who knows- you might just meet someone special too.
