NYyanks819 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I think this is probably one of the best things you can do… what do you think? for instance I noticed when I cut it off with my ex before I would just update pics of me with other women going out etc… to get them jealous, but now I deleted it all and let them wonder what I am doing.. I know others will block them etc, I just feel deleting it all is the easiest way since I think if I keep it I would constantly be trying to make sure my new updates were good pics of me and be living an awesome "virtual life" instead of living a real life moving on agree?

Why delete the whole profile when you can block just her. You can meet nice people through social media, why close that opportunity?
purplehues Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 As long as you're maintaining nc, I think it's a-okay to do what you must. I personally wouldn't want to be browsing fb and looking at all the lovey-dovey couples after a failed relationship. I didn't delete mine, but I had a friend change my password so that I'm unable to access it. Besides, not really important what an ex thinks at this point…or so I try to tell myself

It's really a personal opinion honestly (I guess thats why you asked the question lol). For me, I felt stuff like Facebook was getting a bit boring anyways. I'm 28, so its filled with 900 photos of peoples kids making messes eating birthday cakes and whatever lol. I've had it since 2005, so it was not like it was something new to me or whatever so I deleted it fully. Havent missed it. People use it as a tool to keep ahold of people that you probably wouldnt talk to otherwise and thats cool (My ten year high school reunion is this year, and I'm sure they only use stuff like FB to let people know haha), but it wasnt hard for me to do it and I felt SO much better knowing I couldnt look up what my ex was doing at all nor any of our mutual friends. IMO, yes, I agree with you. We will probably be the minority.
