Author VirginiaBob Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 "Pls don't forget men do nasty things too. Men cheat, lie, ignore, and disappear on them all the time. It's more acceptable for a guy to do this too. It seems, when a woman cheats, lies, etc, she is looked at as a nasty b****. When a guy does it, he's cool." Are you kidding? When a woman does this to people, she still plays the victim role, like "I cheated because of (enter random accusation here)". So a guy takes the blame if he cheats or if he is cheated on, either way.
katie79 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 women get the old, "That skank cheated on her husband/bf", "what a slut", "the cold b****", etc. I've heard men even saying, they cheat on women they love. In fact, that was a chapter in a book I had to read for a "relationships" class I took in college and wrote a report on. The authors made it acceptable for a man to cheat and still be in love with his wife. They gave the impression that "all men like variety", "all men want to have sex with other women", and he intiated in some respect that it's acceptable behavior and a wife/gf should just accept that their significant other will just be like this. Men are excused. And just the way you are speaking of cheating women proves my point, because there seems to be a great deal of latent anger in that former post. I will give you credit on the half where you imply that women blame their actions on their husbands/bf's lack of "whatever" in the relationship. That I found to be true as well. From what I know, women do fantacise and some do cheat. Much of the reason why is due to a husbands behavior. Being mainly two things: 1. He doesn't acknowledge her enough, or make an effort to spend quality time with her, and another man does. 2. He is possessive and obessed with the notion she may cheat on him one day, that she feels she is being punished by his accusations and behavior to prevent such a thing. She finally acts out his worst fear. But then again, maybe you should read the book, "He's Just Not That Into You". There's a chapter on cheating. Many women, write to, Greg, the main author of the book, how their husbands/bf's admitted to cheating after they had reason enough to believe something was happening. the men's reaction?? Some complained they did it b/c their wives "got too fat", "they didn't think it was a big deal being the woman they cheated with was a former lover/ex", they figured the sexual spark disappeared, "etc". Men use excuses too. And the ones that don't are a-holes. They come back around with their tails b/t their legs singing the old "Me so sorry, will never do again, don't want to loose you honey"...until the next comes along! But society will say "ah, he's a guy. Men are horny, he can't help it". For a woman, society will say, "that disgusting slut, porking every man while her husband puts a roof over her head".
Author VirginiaBob Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 Oh yea, men are looked at saints when they cheat but women are looked at as whores, sure (sarcasm intended).
alphamale Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Originally posted by VirginiaBob Oh yea, men are looked at saints when they cheat but women are looked at as whores, sure (sarcasm intended). VB, you're a laugh a minute man!!
katie79 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Not "Saints", I SAID "Acceptable". There's a difference.
soccorsilly Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 VB, if you are serious, I have to doubt your intelligence. I mean WTF are you thinking posting on this chick laden board like that! You would have thought all of those years would have taught you when to shut up! And again, I find that a woman's beauty can come from a few different angles, and what you see as beautiful is not someone elses idea. Besides, you ALWAYS ALWAYS date down--that way YOU look good! YOU are the arm candy not the other way around!
tiki Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 I totally endorse dating ugly chics. It gives us all a fair chance. ...let us know how the date with ug goes.
Adunaphel Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 I'd bet the girl is not even ugly. VB said she has a really nice body.
Author VirginiaBob Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 Yea, so it's acceptable for a man to cheat, but not for a woman. Jeez, try reading some books with the opposite opinion for a change and quit brainwashing yourself. Or quit choosing the books that have the opinion that you want to hear. All you hear on the news is about deadbeat dads, never about deadbeat moms or moms that cheated on thier spouses and legally stole thier children from them by lying in court. I feel bad for you for only having one way of thinking. Open up your eyes. Are you kidding? Usually when a woman cheats on a man, all her friends are like, "you go girl" and act like he is the one wrong. What planet are you from? Andrea Yate kills her kids, and what does everyone say? It's the man's fault, and I'm sure you are one of the people who said that.
tiki Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Hey, what's that got to do with Miss Ugly? Did I miss something?
Author VirginiaBob Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 Well, off I go to see her. I'll tell you about it when I get back. I know you all will be anxiously awaiting.
GirlDown Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Originally posted by VirginiaBob I've got a date with a fugly girl tomorrow. jellybean Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Originally posted by GirlDown just for the record, "fugly" usually means fat and ugly. I always thought 'fugly' meant : fu*king ugly - whatever, can't wait to hear how Bob's date went
Author VirginiaBob Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 I'm back from dinner with her. Really nothing too exciting to tell you. Besides the looks problem, she just didn't have any social skills - lots of awkward silent moments and that's odd since I am a very good conversationalist. I was pretty bored the whole time and wanted to leave as soon as I could. The waitress asked if we were interested in dessert, and I said no before she finished the question and asked for the check - probably a little too obvious, but oh well. Sorry I don't have anything more exciting to say about it due to all the buildup these PMS'ers on here ranted on about all day.
Author VirginiaBob Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 and I agree with jellybean on meaning of fugly.
moimeme Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Susan Smith, who drove her car into the lake whiile her kids were inside the car was a real beautiful person. Hows about the one who drowned her five kids in the bathtub a while ago, here was really a fine updstanding role model for all women. Oh good. And a lack of understanding about people with major mental problems to add to the 'Con' list. You know the post before from the guy about a 'Pro' and 'Con' list?
Author VirginiaBob Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 Yes, all women who commit crimes have "mental disorders" and should be protected, but men who commit crimes are doing it because they are plain evil (sarcasm intended).
Groovy Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Dude, this post is getting out of line. I think we have all stated our case here. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, just be honest with her Bob about intents. And sorry for the people who feel they must bash women or must bash men and feel they need to tell me what I really mean when I say this or that. I guess that's why some of us our here. Our skewed perceptions. Anyway, I'd be interested in an update on Bob's night with the girl.
Author VirginiaBob Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 Groovy, read above, a few posts up, for the date synopsis.
agnf666 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Alright bob... ... Lead a girl on just like that... Your probably not a prize yourself... Why not stop seeing her before she gets to interested in you and then you will have bigger problems. Start thinking with your head instead of your penis.
Groovy Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Oh, sorry your date didn't end up with two people into casual sex. I mean if that's what you want. (Not my thing, but hey to each their own!) Based on your posts though that hasn't been said. I agree there's plenty of bashing on these posts from both sides. I missed your posts because there's so many on this thread! Way to go Bob!
guest Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 you are EXACTLY right VB. Women always get a pass in a relationship--its never their fault and you will never deal with one who will EVER be honest and discuss their shortcomings with you in a relationship. I have been there myself. You can be the greatest guy, do everything, and its not enough. Their wants and needs are a moving target, changed by their "moods', hormones, Pms, menapause, you name it. then throw in bouts of depression on occasion (when its convenient to explain their actions). But if you make one mis-step, you are always the jerk and the one at fault. Then go to a marriage counselor, who are mainly women, and then YOU have to pay to have 2 women tell you that you are a loser!!!! They play on vanity of men all the time, but you mention looks, or , the ultimate infected boil on their psyche of sensitivity, their weight!!!! then you really see the venom. But they can get together and talk cars, prick sizes, etc. and its ok. Just remember, ITS ALL ABOUT THEM----YOU WILL NEVER WIN AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE JERK!!!!! Dont sweat it man, go out and have fun. I know it will be hard to be a "nice" guy in your next relationship, because you will feel like you are being used as in the past. A few beers usually takes some of the fugly away---then you can hose and dispose, and keep your money, and wont have tol isten to the bitchin'. good luck and take care man!!!! I could be Alpha Male's father---he's a lightweight compared to me. Women are sometimes enuf to make a guy want to go queer, NOT!!!!
Mustard Bomb Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I am a very good conversationalist Is it wrong that I find cognitive dissonance so funny?
moimeme Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Is it wrong that I find cognitive dissonance so funny? Nah.
