My ex left me about two months ago and I have been trying my best to develop myself and become happy. I've made so many mistakes, and I feel so much guilt because of them. How can I learn to love myself again?

Make a list of your good qualities. They can be mundane (I make good scrambled eggs) or profound ( I won a Nobel prize) but list them. Then read the list over & over.

Whenever you have a negative thought about yourself pop into your mind, challenge it.

 

A is it true? If no, let it go

B if it's true, figure out how to change that aspect of yourself

C if it's something in the past that you just can't change then know that you can't change it and learn to let it go because holding onto the past isn't beneficial to your well-being.
