Lets brainstorm. What are the top 5 qualities you want for a Guy/Girl?

 

I'm a dude so, I'm listing qualities for a Girl

 

1. Cute

2. Smells Good

3. Loving

4. Takes Care About Her Own Health (doesn't smoke,drinks moderately, exercises routinely)

5. Can Laugh At My Jokes

Being physically attracted to them is a given so I'll list personality traits.

 

1.) Smart

2.) Funny/has a sense of humor

3.) Down to Earth

4.) Sexual/not shy when it comes to sexual topics or situations

5.) Communicative -- this includes making her feelings known straight up, as well as responding to phone calls and texts in a timely fashion.

1.loyal. this will always be no1 for me, if i ever have another love she must be the type that would stand by you through thick and thin.

 

2. Good natured. Nothing beats nice, kind natured people

 

3. Into gym/keep fit. Is part of my life and would like partner to share this interest for many reasons.

 

4. Not sexually old fasioned. Speaks for its self, got to have some fun.

 

5. Likes kids. Important since i have 2 lol

Affectionate

 

 

Looks, height ,hair not important to me. Never been attracted to good looking guys. Prefer character.

 

Note..zero attraction to bubbas...no smoking, drugs, tattoos

I call it the "5c's":

 

1. Communication- the ability talk about the fabulous and the challenging with an open heart.

 

2. Chemistry- the attraction, passion, sensual side of intimacy. The look, touch, smile, kiss.

 

3. Connection- the ability to connect emotionally, psychologically, physically and in spirit.

 

4. Curiosity- a sense of adventure, a willingness to experience the new, take risks, laugh, cry, try, fail, pick up, move forward together, celebrate. This is intelligence beyond books.

 

5. Confidence- a sense of self that exudes kindness, care, respect and believes in self and others equally.

 

I am fortunate. This I have in my partner.

1. Sense of humor ( that is compatible with mine) nothing is more attractive to me than a man that can make me laugh.

5. Similar age range .. I can't imagine being in a LTR with a much younger man.

Smiles often

 

Witty (does subtle humor and running jokes)

 

Does things spontaneously and has a good time

 

Can talk about both intelligent things and superficial things

 

Communicates non-verbally (I don't have to ask for them to know what I'm thinking)

 

Those things are all very attractive to me.

1. Good enough that I want to introduce her to mom.

2. Slutty enough that I want to brag to all of my friends.

3. Humble enough to know her limits.

4. Mature enough to disagree and argue without fighting.

5. Adventurous enough to trust me.

 

I am lucky if I can hit four out of five. I married a 3 out of 5 thinking that would be good enough. I was wrong.

Since I am looking for a long-term partner potentially leading to marriage, my married psychologist friends told me to think of 8 deal breakers in addition to the obvious (attraction and her being nice to me). So I will list those 8.

 

1) Must not have kids

2) Must want kids

3) Must not be overweight

4) Must have either a career or cooking/cleaning abilities/desires

5) Must be family oriented

6) Must be open-minded

7) Must be less than 30

8) Must not have a serious mental illness/personality disorder

ok, so I only have 2. I will add the rest, but really they support #1and #2.

 

3) No mental deep seated, hereditary mental health issues

4) Physically fit

5) Calm/peaceful
