So I was driving back from a meeting with my pastor, talking about what to do next in my life now that my ex has dumped me, and I recently found out it was for my friend. I was feeling pretty good about becoming more clear on what my purpose is after talking with him.

Anyways, I was so excited about acting according to those ideas, and reaching my goals. I felt pretty high, cloud nine you might say. While driving home I thought how I was going to tell everyone on LS that the further you get from the BU, the better the good days are, and the less bad the bad days are.

I was reveling in this idea so much, I didn't realize how icy the road was, and I was only going 10-15 mph, but lost control, and knocked out my fender on a rock, and got stuck in a snowbank, and had to get pulled out.

So, the moral of the story? Just because you are having a good day, don't get arrogant. Don't get me wrong, enjoy it! Rejoice in it! Realize that there are more to come! But just like you shouldn't wallow in a bad day, so also should you not get carried away with a good one. Remember that just because you are having a good day, it doesn't mean you can stop taking care of yourself and the important things in your life.

Now maybe some might think this is all a coincidence. But I think not. I think I just got a wonderful lesson in humility. And I hope maybe this puts something into perspective for a few readers. :)

Oh dear, I hope you're ok! And I hope the car is not too worse for wear. :)

It's going to be an expensive lesson at the body shop, but as of yet it looks like all the damage is cosmetic.

I'm happy to hear you are ok and it wasn't anything beyond that.

Something similar happened to me about a month ago. All I could tell myself was "I guess when it rains it really pours....."

Hey it could have been worse. Continue to make process and sorround yourself with positive people that can lift your spirits in a gloomie day.
