Badsingularity Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 (edited) How do I approach women to strike up intellectual conversations without them thinking I am hitting on them or want a date? I only want them for their minds, but I think they will assume I am hitting on them. Edited January 13, 2014 by Badsingularity
Trnamakesnse Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 All I can think of is share a hobby, most women think I'm hitting on them no matter what I say or do even if I just wanted a chat over lunch. Just meet while doing hobbies I guess. Women get very defensive about guys hitting on them and I don't really care why but it makes talking just to talk pretty hard sometimes. 1

Using girls for the intellectual stimulation you're not getting elsewhere, is much like using them for other types of stimulation.
nescafe1982 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Hang out at a cafe, around a university, etc? Join a book club. Seek out settings where people are being "intellectual." Chances are, if you aren't actually hitting on them, they will figure it out soon enough. 1

Even though my wife and I have already assimilated 90% of eachothers brains and we have hours long intellectual stimulation sessions she still surprises me sometimes. This is not about intellectual stimulation. It's more like research, continued education, and knowledge sharing.

Eternal Sunshine Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 So why don't you do the same with men?
Author Badsingularity Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 So why don't you do the same with men? I do. I just never run into the problem of assumed flirtation when approaching the men.
pickflicker Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Urgh, I can't believe I wasted my time commenting on this thread. Later guys, enjoy.

Author Badsingularity Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 Then just talk to more men Knowledge and opinion gained from the female perspective is just as valuable as that from the male, but is often very different.
salparadise Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Stare at their breasts while you're having intellectual intercourse so they won't be confused about your motive. 1
RedRobin Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Have your wife invite her smart friends to dinner. 3
