somedude81 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 It takes 10 characters long to fall in love? Is that like saying that the Earth will end in 100 light years? 1
Frank2thepoint Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 When you say "10 characters" are you answering your own question that it takes ten personalities to fall in love or ten lettered word that signifies you are in love? What kind of personalities are we talking about? What is a specific ten lettered word that signifies love? 1
Divasu Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Funny^^^ OP, do you prefer to hear a scientific answer? Did you know that, according to some studies, it takes very little to fall in love and that falling in love has little to do with the person who is loved but more so about the person who is falling in love. Even then, it is a matter of timing and circumstances.
from Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I think it just meant that the poster needed a minimum '10 characters' to post something.. I don't believe there is a time period you can place on falling in love. I have a good friend who has been going out with his girlfriend for about 3 years and he does not love her. In my opinion, it is a complete waste of time but he sees things differently. With my current girlfriend, we've exchanged I love you's within 2 months of knowing / being with each other. 1

I believe that my GF of six months (now my ex) didn't fall in love with me because she wasn't completely over her ex of three years even though she dumped him. She just wasn't ready.
LornaFE Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Did you know that, according to some studies, it takes very little to fall in love and that falling in love has little to do with the person who is loved but more so about the person who is falling in love. Even then, it is a matter of timing and circumstances. I think this is very true. Of course there has to be a basic chemistry but much of the love comes from getting used to each other. People love what they see/do often, unconciously. This is not necessaily romantic love, but it could become. It is also a matter of availability. In former times people lived in villages, there were only few people at your age and you (or your parents) chose one of them. Now there is the internet and OLD offering the illusion of finding the perfect mate. So people are searching forever and cannot decide. So it is more a matter of a decision for someone. How long this takes is individual, but mostly a few weeks or month, depending on how often you are together during this period.

Even then, it is a matter of timing and circumstances. Very true. But there is no need for studies, just observation. Falling in love is subjective, and you as an individual determine it. There were women I was friends with for months, never felt a thing, then the woman does something, like remember something random about me, and BOOM, I was infatuated. Sadly, it was not reciprocated.
jimloveslips Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 10 characters Snow White had seven and she still wasn't satisfied... 2
ChrisPA5126 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I'm not sure. A lot of people find falling in love can take a micro second where your eyes meet across a crowded room, and in the instance, you "know." I think that's a bunch of bullcrap. That IS a successful way however, of contributing to the 50% divorce rate these days. Truth of the matter is, as humans, we are capable of falling in love with anyone, anywhere, anytime. As long as you think enough about someone, you soon start to believe it. Falling in love is subjective, and is a matter of circumstance and situation. I'm not saying it takes years to adjust to this idea, and accept it. It can happen within a day, a week, a month, year, decade, as humans, we determine this-another reason why we can't derive to an exact answer. It's flawed. 1
TaraMaiden Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 It only takes a minute (gurl), to fall in love, fall in love..... I think, answers the question.
