Met this lady via OLD. We had six dates. Plans for a seventh. She had said she wanted to take things slow. So we never had been in each other's places and had only kissed a bunch. The day after our sixth date, after we already make plans for a seventh, she e-mails to say that she's just not feeling the spark. She did say that I was charming, unique, and adorable. The next date was going to be at my place - dinner, beer, and a movie or a game or something. I'm 35 and she's 36, btw.

I'm not broken up by this by any means. Six dates does not a relationship make. I am just trying to gain some insight into why she decided it took so long and if anybody else has had some similar experiences. I just feel like I could have used my time better if she had been waffling every time we had went out.

She may have felt that the venue for the 7th date: your place was a possibility that sex was going to be involved & she couldn't handle that so she panicked and ran.

I agree with this.

Other possibilities:

- She's seeing another guy and decided to go with him

- She felt there was no future so she bailed (6 dates and nothing close to sex? I would expect it to be sooner if there were a strong connection).

That did cross my mind. If she's going to panic, then she's not for me. Six dates and she doesn't even want to come over? I just wanted it to be very casual. Food and conversation that's not taking place in a restaurant or similar locale. Ah well.
