I want to score a date ok! and kids dont belong on first dates. I'm with you. 1. She is using the child as a means to create distance/space and excuse not to get close 2. She couldn't find baby-sitting 3. Surely the guy agreed to this, right? 4. She is using the child as a litmus test for guy to see how he behaves, reacts 5. She is whacked. 6. ...and related to #1, distance/space b/c she is not really interested in having a relationship and wanted a free meal with child in tow (cynical possibility)

I Want a woman I can get close to. hey, I'm not disagreeing with that. if the person really wants to get to know you, he/she will find someone to watch the kid. just giving possible reasons and not being able to find someone to watch one's child is possible and legit. I've been in a similar situation where I couldn't find someone in short notice. It is certainly a possible excuse.
