Well I have been in a long term relationship (8 years) My boyfriend and I were planning to move in together, but when I asked him if he ever plans to get married to me and he could not give me a straight answer, because he is scared of committment, I told him I have to move back home and get on with my life, we are both in our 30's and by now, he should know if he wants to make a committment to me...His views on marriage are not very good, considering is parents are divorced and alot of his friends are now getting divorced...

We get along great, he is my best friend we never fight,....The only probelm is that we lack communication...He never expresses how he feels about me, and I always have to bring up the future with him...He wants to buy a house and live together, but he says he can't think about marriage until he is settled with finding a house and a new career....How long can a person wait........It probably never even should of gone on all these years, but I was scared to be alone and I love him deeply......But when I realized I am not getting any younger and if I do want to meet someone I have to move on......So here I am...I never thought it would be this hard!!!!

Was I right for leaving???? it has been about a month and he still calls me and acts like we are just taking a break..He keeps asking when are you coming back..I'm scared to tell him I'm not until he can commit, first of all I shouldn't have to even tell him that..He should know on his own..Does anyone have any suggestions...Should I not talk to him at all..It is so hard to move on with my life when he calls, emails..ect.......

If anyone can give me some advise......

Tell him exactly how you feel. Just because he should know doesn't mean that he does. Give it to him up front and put it in his hands. Until then, do what is right for you.
