spiritofjosh Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Me and my ex dated for only 2 months but she broke up with me about two months back. She ended it bc I kept acting suspicious over nothing and she couldn't take me not trusting her after constantly proving I could. After we talked maybe twice and she said she still had feelings but we moved to quick in the beginning so she didn't know what to do, but I felt uncomfortable staying friends. About 3 weeks ago this girl who always had a "thing" for me was obviously trying to make me stop caring about my ex so I would hang out with her (she's way immature). So she randomly texted me saying she saw my ex in the mall "making out with some guy" so my first reaction was to message her and ask her thinking the other girl was making it up. My ex knew the other girl liked me so her response was "you and ***** would be so cute together." After that I was like ok moving on. After that I was ok without her, not missing her etc, over it. But I woke up Friday morning for work to a Facebook message from my ex saying basically "Maybe because I'm at the karaoke bar drinking but I wanted to aplogize for being rude the last time we spoke and that I was just angry with you." Them another "for the record I wasn't making out with anybody, ***** lied to you." I just said no hard feelings and hope everything is ok. Thing is she wasn't really rude, definitely didn't seem drunk during the message and why say anything at all? it's been over 3 weeks and what she said didn't seem all that important to get off her chest, especially when I haven't said a word to her since. I tried to leave it be but it's been eating at me since then, she didn't respond to my message I sent back. I don't plan on communicating more and I deleted the Facebook conversation already but I just can't help wondering what her motives are when it could have been left unsaid. I definitely don't think alcohol played any role in it either. I do miss her and stuff and in a few days I'll be over it again but like I said, her reason why is driving me nuts. An ex from years ago used to pursue me like this when we were broken up then eventually said she missed me and we'd start dating again. Mainly why I posted this now. Thanks for reading.
