why oh why Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 My wife who I am separated from around 4 months ago.....was in contact fine but just before Xmas she completely stopped all contact....I had tried everything to get her back.....and I just pushed her away.... I have been told that she has said to her family.....that she feels that she has to hurt me to get me to back off.....and boy has she done that! Also said that any chance of her missing me is gone. She has said to me that she never ever wants to get back together... ( together 12 years) Now into day 10 of no contact. By me.....thats the longest we not been in touch since we met all those years ago. .I guess I blew it big time by not backing off and now I have its too late.......she has said in the past she needs to miss me......but I think she just says what u want to hear......she seems to have a heart of ice right now

I am not very experienced in this kind of stuff (only had one real relationship so far) but I think you didn't lose her because you were to needy after the breakup. She already decided to leave you before. Keeping contact only prolongs the pain I guess. One thing that's positive however is that you've lost (false) hope. You don't have to hold on to that false hope any longer and start to move forward. I wish you the best!
