( pap test) so the last two times they have told me to come back six months later because i have low grade inflammation. she said not to worry about it and to only worry if it gets to high grade..but i have looked into it and it seems like it can be hpv. i am worried..not sure what to do… anyone have experience with this?
MidwestUSA Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I've gone thru it. You'll be okay. Just stay on top of the six month rechecks that your doctor wants. She'll let you know when to start worrying. Don't read too much on the internet! 1
regine_phalange Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Its very probable, its a pandemy. Its not dangerous if you do your pap test faithfully. After some years your immune system will put the inflammation aside on its own, or, if needed, your doctor will do things to help heal the area. Just ask your doctor to explain to you what he/she sees exactly.
nescafe1982 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Yes, don't get too freaked out unless the doctor tells you it's cause for concern. I had a string of abnormal pap smears for a couple years there. the doc had me come in for tests more frequently as a precaution, but ulltimately it turned out to be nothing. So do follow the doctor's directions... but do not allow yourself to get too worked up over what this might or might not be without a doctor's official diagnosis.
