It is pretty much obvious that the state of relationships in these times is just abysmal. It seems that men and women barely like each other anymore. We live in a a very PC era but all political correctness does is cover up how people really feel. It's fake politeness.

If real change is ever going to happen and it needs to if we don't want the state of relationships to completely disintegrate then honest and frank discussion needs to take place. We need to be honest with each other without people getting defensive and hurt because like it or not this is how many people really feel. These are the conversations men have amongst ourselves all the time and I am sure women have similar ones.

True healing comes from really dealing with the issues and not fake surface politeness which is what we have in our PC age. Instead of getting defensive why don'y we really listen to what the opposite sex has to say.

Generally woggle (I've read a lot of your threads) I really agree with you. This is one of those times. I think the main problem is a lack of respect-pure and simple. That's the root cause of 99% of relationship problems today. There is a fundamentals Lack of respect for other humans and their feelings that quite honestly is depressing to bear witness to.

You can be genuine and have manners too. You can pick your battles instead of needing to fight all the time. It is not all or nothing.

I've never thought that brutal honesty is a virtue.
