I just curious. never had a Girlfriend and im 18.

I just feel i am missing out not having a girlfriend and being there for each other and knowing you got somebody that cares/thinks about you.

I bet it feels amazing and exciting and scary at the same time.

Hope 2014 will be the year!

They say love is friendship that caught fire.

At 18 many people have not had a BF/GF so don't worry too much about it.

Having a BF/GF is like having a super best friend that you can touch & kiss. That extra aspect is like the sprinkles on your ice cream. The ice cream (friendship) is still good but this is just a bit more special because of the sprinkles (romance).

The question is... what are you doing to make it so? :)

Are you missing out on anything great? You can be. Being in a relationship is the same feeling as sitting in your favorite restaurant, ordered your food, and getting that glow in your eyes once you see the waiter/waitress coming towards your table to serve you. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

You're 18!

You're practically a vestal-which makes me think perhaps you can be naive.

Speaking from personal experiences, dating in my teen years were nothing less of terrifying. You're young, impressionable, forgiving and opened to all these ideas imprinted in the young minds.

You're easily pressured into doing things that perhaps you weren't prior to meeting this person, you cry, laugh, think you're in love, when in fact, you've no clue what that feels like! You'd do just about anything to make your partner smile, and when they do, you feel like anything's possible. They're responsible to your smiles and laughs, and somehow find a way to incorporate everything you do to associate that with your partner. The way you eat, talk, dress, laugh, walk, sleep...all in consideration of your partner. It gets better: Sometimes, you find that your partner has changed you for the better-opened your eyes to the world beyond what you see. You share similar perspectives, and yet, you're different enough to find joy and compassion in everything they say. You're able to communicate without having to speak, and sometimes, you just want to argue so you can ensure yourself why they are worth the silly words, and regrets.

It has its moments. But you would feel none of this, if it wasn't with the right person.
