Robynhood Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 So my so is coming in to town for valentines day. I was wondering if I should have everything planned at night or expect him to plan. He's not too familiar with the city but he has the internet and needs to get familiar to the city he's moving here soon. I've already planned our day time activities. I feel like he's been in contact with my friends lately but who knows he's also been a little stressed lately. I just saw this concert I want to go to and tickets are going to keep raising in price. I don't know if I should buy them or keep dropping hints to my so and friends. I also feel like it may be too much outing and activities seeing we will be going to an edm show the next day in another city with a lot of my friends bc it's also my birthday. I've always complained how I usually have to plan all my valentine occasions in the past blah blah blah. It's our first valentines day together! I would think its rude to buy something for valentines day and say hey I need you to reimburse me for the cost of the concert he makes a lot more money than I do and I paid for everything on the 15. I feel torn should I let him plan the day if he's even planning anything or should I plan it and do exactly what I know I want to do he likes the artist at the concert. But I know in the back of my head I'll say I always plan things. Btw he's stressed at work lately scared he might forget about the whole vbday thing.
d0nnivain Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 You should talk to him. Ask him if he'd like you to plan something since you are more familiar with the area. Ask what he'd like to do. tell him what you would like. Your other option is to sit there, wishing he would do whatever & then getting pissed at him for failing to read your mind. Which one of those choices guarantees you will have a more enjoyable Valentine's Day?
soccerrprp Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I am visiting my gf on Valentine's and planning for Valentines evening. All done online. I'm not stressed and very aware. I think dOnnivain is right here. Talk to him. It will make for a more successful day.
