mendsley Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 It was nothing exciting, just information about a basketball league my son no longer plays in. She knows he no longer plays in that basketball league so I'm not sure why she even bothered. All she put was she hopes me and my son are doing well. I contemplated sending a a message, but I went ahead sent back a simple and to the point message saying thank you I will contact the coach and let him know my son no longer plays in that league and I hope her and her children are doing well! It sucks something this simple and pointless has me wound up, I hate it. I hope I did the right thing by responding.
MoooOinkBaaa Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I would of responded with a simple **** off. How dare they act like nothing happened. 1
pickflicker Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I would of responded with a simple **** off. How dare they act like nothing happened. There is no need to do this. Yes, being dumped sucks, but being rude about it is uneccesary. All you end up showing them by lashing out, is that they're still affecting you. Which is simply handing over more power. OP, well handled, good for you. 1
MoooOinkBaaa Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Yeah they are still affecting me, I want them to know that I hate them.
Author mendsley Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 Thanks for the feedback, as much as I wanted to go off on her, I'm glad I kept my composure. I obviously played out the many different scenarios in my head and keeping cool was the best. Who knows, maybe being nice will make her believe I'm approachable and if she ever does contact me to reconcile a friendship/relationship I can tell her to kick rocks, lol! Now THAT would make me feel good ;-)
