Mr Scorpio Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 For those of you who maintain a clean diet most of the time, what do you reach for when you decide to cheat? 1
Conners Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Any type of pasta, it's my favourite food and I used to eat it wayyy too often. 1
Tony Posted January 8, 2014 Senior Moderators Posted January 8, 2014 Bananas are always on the sweet side, tasty, nutritious, vitamin and mineral filled, easy to store and eat, filling, inexpensive and overall healthy. Best snack around and won't make you fat....unless you eat LOTS of them. Excellent between meal snack whether you're on a diet or not.
thefooloftheyear Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Pizza or fried chicken wings..You can keep all the sweets..I dont crave any of it.. TFY 2
Author Mr Scorpio Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Any type of pasta, it's my favourite food and I used to eat it wayyy too often. Huh. I never considered eating pasta "cheating", at least not wheat-pasta. Lost twenty pounds last year with that as a dietary staple. 1
mammasita Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 French fries!!!!! Specifically McDonalds french fries LOL 3
carhill Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Homemade deep-dish pizza with all the 'bad' things on it. The sauce, the onions and the red bell peppers are the only 'vegetables'. Nice chilled beer to go with it. Yum. 1
radiodarcy Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Specifically McDonalds french fries LOL Lol - -you said it! :bunny:
theonlyjuan Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I just have some bread in my diet that day. I can't even stomach bad food anymore, body has changed
seekingpeaceinlove Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Fries and potato chips. Salty snacks are like a drug for me...once I get started I can't stop. 1
Johnsmith1003 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Specifically McDonalds french fries LOL Yeah, that sh*ts unholy and sinful. So good. 1
Conners Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Huh. I never considered eating pasta "cheating", at least not wheat-pasta. Lost twenty pounds last year with that as a dietary staple. Pasta is generally full of carbs. There's a place here called Pasta Cup and it's so addictive. Based on their dietry info too it's definteley not eating clean. x
Ruby Slippers Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Eventually I crave fat - cheese enchiladas, fried chicken, chocolate, cookies. But when you're eating healthy, it doesn't take much of this food at all to make you feel stuffed.
fujidabruin Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 A "Five Guys Burger & Fries" double-pattie burger with the works and cajun fries on the side..... I am salivating like Pavlovs' dog
ooglesnboogles Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Mexican food. When I've said "screw it!" for counting the day's calories, I go to my favorite Mexican place and order two ground beef tacos with all rice on the side. Ends up being two massive, cheese-laden tacos, and probably 1.5-2 cups of fried rice. If I really don't care, I get a delicious Coca-Cola to go with it. Ahhh, such a wonderful treat but not too often
EasyHeart Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Pizza and dark chocolate M&Ms. Not together, though.
John83 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 My top 2 cheat meals are 1. Chinese takeaway, mixed meat in black bean sauce with crispy noodle and mixed starter (wantons, spare ribs, salt and chilli pepper chicken wings and spring rolls) 2. Pepperoni pizza and half pounder cheese burger.
lollipopspot Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I don't diet, but my weakness is cookies and pastries. Huh. I never considered eating pasta "cheating", at least not wheat-pasta. Lost twenty pounds last year with that as a dietary staple. Pasta is generally full of carbs. I don't think pasta is cheating either, although I tend to go for more whole grains. There's nothing wrong with carbs. They're the basis of most traditional diets. I'm vegan, a good weight, and I generally eat this way (except I use fats) - whole foods, starch based diet: The Starch Solution: Eat the Foods You Love, Regain Your Health, and Lose the Weight for Good!: John McDougall, Mary McDougall: 9781623360276: Amazon.com: Books

Whole-wheat pasta, cherry tomatoes, spinach, some lemon-juice, low-fat parmesan = good-to-go!
