Author Mariposa10 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 I'm excited about the whole idea of being able to finally picture another guy holding my hand. I remember when I got home that night and was brushing my teeth. I started crying a little bit, but not because I was comparing my ex to this guy or because I missed my ex. I cried a little bit because for the very first time in a long time, I finally felt ready to flirt, talk to a guy without feeling guilty or just bad in general. Those were tears of joy and melancholy (which is not always bad). You sound excited and happy, really pleased for you. 1
LostConfused123 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Keep us posted! I'm SOOOOO happy for you!!!!!
Author Mariposa10 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 One way or another we have been keeping in touch, but everything has been really casual. We haven't talked ever since I heard he was a little bit sick. But since I initiated that conversation I don't want to ask him how he's feeling because that would be me initiating the last two conversations. That sounds like too much. I don't know about asking him to hang out. I already mentioned a restaurant I like which is near his school and where he lives. I think the rest is now up to him. We had so much fun. I don't know what happened. Maybe because he recently stopped dating someone? But it was a really really short relationship, nothing serious. Oh well, we'll see! Maybe give it another week and then ask him if he wants to hang out. I'm the same way about not wanting to chase a guy, but I think there has to be some give and take. How often have you been in contact since meeting?
Author Mariposa10 Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Quick update: I had a "lunch date" today, just like the first day, we had lots and lots of fun. So much fun that he almost choked while eating because of how much we were laughing However, I think he's still hung up on his ex gf... I feel like I'm getting "friend-zoned" but it's ok. It feels nice to have those butterflies again
