What makes them think these women will be attracted to them? It gets really annoying that these dudes have no self awareness one of their buddies has to site them down and say listen your ugly stop annoying these women. It makes no sense when you see cuter guys shy and timid and these ugly dudes are approachoing women brimming with confidence with no reason to be.

A man who is less attractive but who approaches has a much better chance than a passive but attractive man. Due to gender roles, men can't sit there and wait for a woman to come to them. Unless that woman is really turned on. 4

Maybe because they know that they are ugly and that if they don't be aggressive with women, nobody would talk to them? Frankly it's the same reason why some fat women are very aggressive and forward. 2

I guy can feel confident about himself just because he has the confidence to approach while others due not. 4

Especially in a club/bar scene...it is all about looks. It has been shown by science again and again that people attribute positive personal traits to good looking people. What Is the Halo Effect? Depressed, and nearly suicidal yet tall, dark, handsome, guy: is seen by women as brooding, deep, soulful. Upbeat, cheerful, confident, yet short, pale, and Shrek like guy : is seen by women as pushy, annoying, and a pest. Men do similar things. OP if this man wasn't "ugly" would his being "aggressive" be a problem? Be honest, if he was a hot guy and got the results a hot guy would get, would anyone (any woman that is) have a problem with his "aggression"? 1

Thegreatestthing Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Yes I have to totally agree this guy was talking to me yesterday Just going on and on and I just didn't like his look,but he didn't care and kept going on talking a lot about women and I could tell later he was some sort of really experienced Player type of guy.even When deterred he didn't care,he came across later as a guy that beds any women he wants,totally changed my opinion of him. A man could look like a cross between a snuffaloffaguss and a toad and he still has the same right to strike up a conversation with an attractive woman as a hot guy does as long as he is polite.

The so-called ugly guys have nothing to lose. If one of these ugly guys keep at it, eventually they'll land a cute girl. I've seen it happen. Women are more forgiven on looks than men, because usually other things about the guy attracts them. Trial and error proves this. 2

We were out one night at a bar somewhere and he was just being friendly and talking to this one attractive girl. This guy, he is never mistaken for Brad Pitt or whoever. That girl was so stuck-up and snotty and a total B. He stuck his finger up her nostril LOL. I've never seen anything like it. Alcohol is a helluva thing. 5
