SheAskedForABreak Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 So we had fight that resulted in a two day stretch without talking, this had never happened before. That was in the first week of December, after three weeks I broke up with her on Christmas Eve. She and I kept going back and forth. My final straw was her telling me it was over and she was only trying to spare my feelings. This was after begging me to give her time to "figure out her feelings". I decided right then to tell her not to contact me anymore. I called her and thanked her for everything over the last three years, but that I wasn't really able to justify a break without a solid reason. She cried, said she understood, and said it was all her fault. Later she told her brother in law, my best friend, who told me she said, "He broke up with me, I just wanted a break." Of course this wasn't true and I pushed her comments aside. She lied to me in the past, continuing to talk with male students from a high school she had been fired from, they were 20 when I found this out, she's 42. She lives with her parents and works a part-time job at a library. She's a bit of a slug. She has nice boobs, but beyond that she's no good to me and a drain on my life. So why do I love her? Why do I want her to call? Do you think she'll ever contact me? How do I handle that?
Philosoraptor Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Only you can answer your questions. The answers likely lie in familiarity rather than the logic. As the logic is telling you she was chatting with people less than half her age and flipping her story in order to garner sympathy. There is only difference between a break and a breakup is that the former is used by a dumper to allow them to come back guilt free when they want to. Maybe she was going to sleep with these 20 year old males then come back once she had her fun?
