I downloaded (actually a salesclerk did it) an app to block numbers called Mr Number. It has been extremely helpful. . . . a couple days ago my brother was looking at my phone and saw the app wand wanted to check it out (he's like that, just smart guy and always learning) anyway, he saw "his" number and a couple others (telemarketers etc) Long story short, he "enlightened" me where the numbers go to a certain list that I can delete but have to view the list to do it. . . The point is now I KNOW where this info is and I was way better off being ignorant!! I read a few days ago on here (sorry forgot who said it) but I never forgot it "If you do NC correctly, you won't know if they dies or not" Something like that anyway. . . . Does anyone know an app or something so I can block his number but I'll never know if he tried or not. I don't want to know if he texts or calls. . . . EVER!!!! Thanks in advance!! If there is no such a way, I'll manage and life will go on. I would just much rather not know this information. . . . I want to feel like HE IS DEAD!!!

pickflicker Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I said something like this, and I was paraphrasing cavalier99. My phone has an auto-reject list, so that when a rejected number calls (not texts), they get a busy signal (Samsung Galaxy S3, for reference). Not sure about text blocking though. The only sure way is to change your number, I think. 1

No, I don't think so. . . there is an option to block the "content" of the texts which I did. . . . I do not want to know what they say! But I just don't want to know one way or the other if he texts or calls. . . I just have a feeling he's going to come lurking around and I have worked SO HARD on my recovery, I don't dare take ANY chances too have a set back. Also when they call, I have the hang up option but the thing is sometimes the number will flash briefly and THEN go to block. . . UGH! I guess if all else fails, I can change my number. . . would really rather not because of my business.

I guess I'll just change my number. . . . like I said, I just have this sickening feeling that he's going to come sniffing around and then all this hard work on my recovery will be for nothing. I absolutely CAN NOT risk that! I have come to far and actually have these very brief moments of happiness! Imagine that! NEVER thought I would see the day. I mean, they are few and far between but they are there! Probably better this way anyway cause the d bag could always call from a different number. Now I use blocker pro by embware, and yes, there is a place you can choose to not log or even be aware that a number was blocked. It blocks calls and sms or texts as well.
