TrulyLoved Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I'm not gonna go in to details tonight as I am bloody knackered but will post more tomorrow ... Anyway will I ever be free of these thoughts and wannabe scenarios in my mind? I know it's more of an obsession, what's generally recommended for this? x
LifeWithoutMiMi Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Are you still keeping in touch constantly with your ex? Do you still check your ex's Facebook? 4 years is a very long time, I hope you can completely let go soon. You need to keep NC, including any social media such as Facebook.
Heatemyheart89 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Oh dear I still think of my ex 4 years on. Partly as I look on the fb not good! If I quit that I would be okay now.
bob the brave Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 No disrespect to KFC as she is correct. However, counceling is a hit or miss for many. I tried it for a year. It got me over the rough spots mostly just helped to vent to someone, but it couldn't fix my broken heart or self-esteem. Everything was still what it was. So, you have to change everything. Change your reality. Move to a new place if you can, find new friends. Once you do, your memories and thoughts of him will start to fade as they are pushed out by your new life. It is hard, but kind of fun too. You must work hard to forge a new world of your own.
