And not in the sense that I'm not ready yet, cause I know I'm not and will give it more time.

But it's just seems like every damn relationship is bound to end because one party will never be truly happy and will leave (can you see I've spent too much time in the breaking up subforum? :p). I've just kind of lost all faith in finding a lasting love..

You may feel differently with time, but for now try and look for inspiration. Anything that changes your perspectives. It may help shake the negative cues that you hold on to after a huge scar gets placed on your heart. You may never find a lasting love of all eternity, but is there something else you might want? ask yourself what you want to be different next time you get into a relationship.

If nothing else, I highly recommend being with someone from outside your current country at least once. I discovered so much by doing that and had a great relationship.

If the points is to find "happily ever after" then you are right. Happily ever after is not reality.

Consider John and Abbigail Adams. Married 50 years Abbigail died before John. John was devastated. Does that mean it was point less for them to be married ? Of course not.

The point of love isn't to never feel heartache. The point is to give love freely for a while.
