Baumer Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 We've been broken up for a few months. She moved to Europe for a job and even though we were long distance in this country she made in clear the distance was too much in this new circumstance. I flirted with another girl and took her home back in the spring (didn't do anything though, I was very remorseful when it came down to it) and though we reconciled temporarily and had a very good summer (spent together entirely) I think the mistrust added in to the decision. I actually saw her a few weeks in to the break up, had a ticket and planned on doing my own thing if she didn't want to get together. But we did and it was bittersweet. We had fun and acted like a couple but she also made it clear she didn't want to be one. Said we could hang out when she visits home if possible but also encouraged me not to wait around. We've had sporadic contact since. She's messaged quite a times. I wrote a letter, she sent a birthday card. We've exchanged some emails. I don't initiate the contact often because I can't tell if she really wants to communicate. Often she says "talk to you soon/tomorrow" only for days to pass and she apologizes but her messages don't really say much about what's going on in her life. We messaged Happy New Year to each other and she asked what I was doing. I responded but haven't heard back since. It's frustrating as I'm sure you all know. I've been talking to a few other girls. Gone on dates and everything. It's actually been easier to meet people than I thought but it seems hollow. Like I'm forcing myself. And with these girls I only feel like I miss her even more. If I met someone who I think could captivate me I feel like I could let her go but who knows when that will happen. What should I be doing? Should I anticipate her wanting to see me when she is around?
Haydn Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 No dont wait. Move forward. She is gone and you must break all contact with her. Do it today.
