I gave my new girlfriend a gift of a scarf yesterday , I suspected she might want to make things official and when she said yes I pulled out the scarf and wrapped it around her , now I should mention that we,ve only known each other two months

she loves scarfs btw

Well, how did she react? Isn't that all that matters?

Sounds pretty smooth to me. How did you wrap it around her? I would have held both ends, thrown the middle around her and pulled her in for a kiss.

she seemed to like it , I hadn't planned to give it to her at all at this stage but I sensed she wanted to announce the couple thing so I told her I wanted to signify it with a gift and like I said she has a thing for scarfs

its funny , she comes out with real soppy stuff like " you make me feel very special - I really like your company - I want you in my life " while on the other hand , trots out lines like " this is all so fast and overwhelming " now and again , I don't say anything to either as I think women just need to convince themselves their in control by occasionally expressing caution amidst their enthusiasm

the scarf was the first gift ive given her and cost very little so I saw it as pretty simple myself , if she cant handle it , I don't think she,s for me , I don't really do the coy thing

This is often extremely true - though it means you're likely in for some roller coaster moments along the way. Enjoy the ride.

No it's not too much. It sounds like just the right touch. It was a scarf not a diamond.
