slightly_unusual Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 to me it seems unesscessery to call my girlfriend to say " goodnight " are texts enough ?
CarrieT Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 No, texting is not enough. It is impersonal. A voice is always preferable.

Maxtor Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Talking on the phone can be tough to some people. And doing it too much, it loses the thing. Text her, and sometimes call her, dont do it every night.
Onethirtyeight Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 It depends on your relationship. Personally I don't like to call all the time if I see her multiple times a week.
d0nnivain Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Can you mix it up? For example, if you have seen her that day, a goodnight text might be fine but if you haven't, a call would be better.
married2school Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I think it depends completely on the relationship. If you don't see her every day, some days it might be nice to get a call. I see my boyfriend almost every single day, in the same med school class, and we rarely call each other. I would say most days we don't even text each other goodnight because we both usually are studying up until bedtime. Different for different people I suppose. I would personally say, texting is fine, but give her a call if you haven't seen her in a while.
Eclypse Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 With my ex I used to call her all the time because we could only see each other once a week and she didn't go on Facebook for chat often. With my current gf we pretty much only text. We usually do it throughout the day at work and in the evening we talk on Facebook through the instant messenger. I only really call her if we've become seperated at the mall or something. That said, we see each other every day or second day usually so it's not like we're lacking for contact!

Author slightly_unusual Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 text is not enough , call is not enough , regularly or everyday seeing each-other is enough. just texting its like talking to your phone. a electronic person. and there is no emotion there. she can be doing the same with what ever dude there is noting special in that. your voice is special and spending time in-person can let you both grow to each other and know each other more. we both work and live ninety mins apart so we cant see each other anymore than twice per week , im fine with that by the way but due to our ( relatively ) limited contact , id like to get the phone - text - Skype thing right I don't text her during the day at all as shes a manager in a store , I think a call or a few texts should suffice around 8 pm
