dmmm Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 How do you stop from breaking down/stopping in your tracks when you see something that reminds you of the ex. Like everywhere I look,go,hear etc. Everything now has a memory.
Yasuandio Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I'm seriously considering moving to another state in the US. Yas

Petunia20 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I dont think that everything has a memory. When you were with your ex you saw the same things but saw them as they were. Like for example a place you used to frequent like a restaurant, others go to the same restaurant. Its jus that now you are experiencing things without them. At first I used to think the same. Everywhere I went, everything I saw it somehow reminded me about my ex. Now, almost six months later its just another restaurant or another song or its just a truck he used to have. And as time passes by you will forget certain things. I was at a restaurant with my brother shortly after our BU and he ordered iced tea. I immediately thought of my ex, how he ordered iced tea. Then I had forgotten that he liked iced tea until recently I was at a restaurant and the person in front of me ordered iced tea with no lemon and it was like a ahuh moment for me. I thought of my ex but it wasnt as sad. It was more like, o yea he used to like his tea with no lemon. Its still tough and I still miss him like crazy but you learn to live without them and to forget their habits, expressions, likes and dislikes. It takes time...hang in there!
