Haydn Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Hope everyone has disgested their xmas dinner without too much fuss and no trips to A and E? Well today i felt a longing for her......(Yes the ex). I have a new girl and things are good and going slow but today i just could not shake the notion i should pick up the phone.....I did not. Not venting just displaying a bit of weakness as the year ends. Been 6 months since i contacted her, she has tried to contact me and failed,i am never going back to that life. But just today i was shopping in London with friends for clothes and i remember how much i used to love to buy her clothes much to the destriment of my wallet. Nothing really to say just missed her horrible ways today. But i will still tell or advise anyone out there new or old. Stay NC. Good luck for the new year everyone. 7

Kevin_D Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 But just today i was shopping in London with friends for clothes and i remember how much i used to love to buy her clothes much to the destriment of my wallet. Tell me about it. I was out shopping myself and I almost had a panic attack when I saw New Year dresses and sexy underwear. For a moment it felt like I was there with her. I wanted to bring one of the dresses and say "what do you think about this one?", and then I realised that she doesn't want me anymore, that she's probably spending New Years Eve with some other dude. I pulled myself together and bought some new clothes. I didn't feel attractive when I was with her. Everyone just kept telling me how beautiful she was and how lucky I was. I guess that somehow killed my self esteem. Anyway, I've been working out a lot and when I tried my new clothes on and looked myself in the mirror today, I kind of liked what I saw. 2
legion113 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Sorry to hear that Haydn, I've read a lot of your posts and they're pretty intelligent and you can tell you've given it much thought. Sorry to hear that you still miss your ex. Like they say though, the only way to erase old memories is to put in new ones. 1

headinthecloud Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Hey Haydn, we've all been in your shoes but do try to replace the thoughts with new positive thoughts. It's hard at first but with practice it gets much easier. 1
Zoe Lilith Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I am a bit surprised to hear this from you. You seemed really in control and well over it. I hope you're doing better. Stay strong, your little girl needs you. Happy New Year! 1

Author Haydn Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 Thanks, doing good, just those shopping trips! Yes spent all my hard earned cash on my daughter. Made me smile as she now decides her own fashion. Daddy is too old at 31 to have a clue! It'll take a long time to completely move on. Sounds like you're doing really well though...continue moving forward! 3
