Thanks for reading. I met this guy recently. I stayed over at his the first night, but made sure he knew, before I went back, that it wasn't for a one-night stand. The last time that I stayed there though (the second time), we did (*that*). Anyway, things went really well. We had a great night, laughed lots and didn't sleep until 7am (and not '*just* because of the sex) .

Everything was great. He is everything that I'm looking for. He's intelligent, he gets me, he's (very) good looking ( :p ), and we really did connect a lot (I don't connect with people easily, it takes quite a bit). Everything was great. When I left his, in the evening of the next day, he said "make sure you text me when you're back so that I know you got back ok" . I did. But 4 hours later (which I now know is NOT a long time), there was not a reply. So, for some unknown reason ( I've never been like this before) I got all paranoid that he'd just used me for sex. So I came on this site....

I wish I hadn't now :/ Before I did, I had in the back of my head that he might have been asleep. But then people on here were saying things like '...yeah, sounds like you were used...' and '... wow, he couldn't even reply to the 'I got home safe' text...' . As well as this, my friend agreed with this. So I became certain that, as it was the first time we'd slept together, I had been used.

... So, feeling angry, I texted him again :/ Argh,, I know, not good! Tbh, I had been to the pub with friends for a drink just before, and was quite drunk :p And I think I called him too (my phone is rubbish, so doesn't save anything!) .

I feel like such a knob :( . I can't believe I blew it with someone who is so perfect. Honestly, before last night, our connection was amazing. I have played it cool with him all week. We would text every day, and every day he would text me first. As I was very drunk last night, I had the mind-set of 'oh, we're both adults. Let's not beat around the bush, and just say what we're thinking!'. So, before he had even text me back... I called him :/ ... and apparently (according to my call-log) I called him again!! What a complete and utter idiot I am! Can't even remember what we said.

I texted him earlier just saying something along the lines of ' wow, I was so drunk last night. I remember texting you, but don't know what is was about, so you can probably just forget it! haha. Also, did I call you? My phone doesn't save anything, so can't even check :p ' (this is true, btw... my phone actually doesn't save anything :p ) ' .

Anyway, my question is: Is there any way that he could still be interested in me? I've played it cool since I knew him. Can just one night of being drunk and letting someone know you want them, totally put them off you? Or is there still a chance?

Aaaaaggguhhhh. . . .

I don't know if your nasty text blew it. I would hope not but stop with the texting. I know I'm in the minority but don't freak out if someone doesn't text you back right away . . . . wait at least 24 hours before you panic / get mad.

Avoid texting while drunk. Also avoid texting while mad.

When you need encouragement call. Voice inflection will tell you more than words.

At this point, I'd back all the way off. If he contacts you, great, pretend like this didn't happen. Just go back to normal. If you don't hear from him wait at least a week & then call once. You need the LONG time in between so he can see you are not a needy, psycho cling-on. In that time you may decide you don't want to talk to him again.

What did you text him? (when you were drunk, I mean) Hard to say if you blew it without knowing what you wrote him.

Come on gals... Stop sleeping with a guy so soon if u cannot handle it later!!!

Drinking n texting????

If he is a normal person he will ignore u n it will be completely justified...

Do not repeat these things please.

Maybe he thought he didn't have to reply.

I'd be very annoyed though, to the point of considering it a lost case. *Judge hammer on table* Next!

The needy text has slain a number of budding relationships. Even if there is a chance it wont be the same. Hope for the best.

I texted him actually asking if that was just a one-time thing for him. Wtf is wrong with me? He has done all of the chasing the whole way through, and talked about other times we'll meet up. I just wanted to know where I stood. He's recently broken up with someone who is really hurt, and he doesn't want to hurt her further by jumping into something with someone else. He said he doesn't want to mess me around, but he needs to get his head sorted.

Update: I'm now hoping that what happened last night is an indication that he's still interested...

I texted him earlier in the day just basically making a joke out of the fact that I was so drunk the night before and that I couldn't remember what I'd even said. He replied a few hours later just saying 'haha no worries. Just at work so will text when I'm back' . Then he text me saying 'Just got in, what are you up to?' . I didn't reply as I was genuinely asleep. He then text me 2 hours later saying 'you ok?' . I texted him back today.

Does this mean he's still interested?
