I know I posted something about this before on the lines of romantic love, but I think it seems different right?

I mean, does love mean you would die for someone? To be honest I don't know if I could say I will jump in front of a bullet for anyone...maybe if I had kids because they're so little and innocent. That sounds terrible to say but it's the truth.

I think about things like my relationship with my oldest sister. She's 13 years older and we never really connected.

Or my cousin whom I'm really close to but I know I would choose my sisters over her if anything happened EASILY.

Or my boyfriend's sister who is like a really good friend to me but I feel it's not love because I know if we were to break up she would probably take her brother's side or not care to keep in touch anymore. Without my bf she wouldn't be there for me.

All I know is that if they died I would cry, I'd miss them, I do care for them. But then again I've cried for a guy I barely knew because he was dying of cancer. I didn't love him but I felt sad for a few days.

When a potential romantic partner tells you that they like you in a friendly / family way it does mean that they care about you & your well being. I also means that they don't see you as a romantic partner . .. . . . no hugs, kisses, happily ever after etc.

I was not talking about like but love.

Change the word like in my answer to love. The answer is the same -- no romance.

I don't think there's a definitive answer

But I think it's similar to the other half kinda of love minus the sexual feelings?

I think theres blood bonds - blood is blood no matter how close or not you are, humans are at our core pack creatures, in a evolutionary sense I think blood is meant to evoke some strong feelings in us.

Then theres platonic love, as in love for family and good friends.

I think people feel love like that differently as people feel romantic love differently.

For me its that there isn't anything I wouldn't do for them, to take a bullet for them would be no choice at all. As well as, like with romantic love, to see them makes you happy, to think of them makes you smile, you trust them - totally.
