My bf is thinking about breaking up wth me because I've said some comments about he does not like to talk on the phone or has other things to do, like he is usually busy or something. I've said them in jest, but he says that they have insulted him. I told him yesterday if he wants to breakup then what's stopping him from just going our separate ways and he says he doesn't know. I've commented on that because sometimes it had felt that way but I get over it and I keep going. I didn't know I was insulting him either until he told me. I understand that when someone tells you that they don't have time with you it hurts and insults.... I guess I'm answering my own question....don't know (sighs) Just needed to talk... Thanks:)

If you don't want to break up, then I believe the thing to do now is to apologize for hurting his feelings, & have a long talk about his sensitivities. It appears to me that you have some communication issues between you. How long have you been together? It can take some time to judge someone's sensitivity, but I would think that when the relationship has been going a while that one would be able to joke & jest with the other without hurting their feelings.
