I blocked his number 2 wks ago in case he tries to contact me, I cant afford a set-back or breadcrumbs. But I just wanted to know...I know my ex still has feelings for me, and the reason why we broke up was because of stressful circumstances. Do you think a blocked number will stop someone from trying to get in touch with a person?...I mean, if they really wanted to talk to someone, and they know where they live, they would find another way....right? I mean if it was THAT important, right? Thoughts/opinions appreciated
treezy Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 I've never really wondered that because I have no issues with my ex contacting me, he's cut me off. In any case, if he really wants to speak with you, I'm sure he's probably gonna find another way. That said, have you told him that you need time to yourself for now and would appreciate that he doesn't contact you? If you did, you don't have to block him. If he respects you, he is not going to contact you. If he does, you can politely remind him that you need space. This way, you keep doors opened for communication in future when you're ready to talk again. My two cents worth, I hope it's of some use to you. Stay strong.
HorseLuck Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Probably not but do it if you feel it's necessary. It's just an extra precaution..no harm in doing that. I'm fearing I'm about to deal with a situation similar to the ex showing up at my doorstep because s**t is already occurring and making me uncomfortable. In my case I don't want the contact and it's trying to be squeezed out of me. I'm on super high alert now with stress.
