Ok, one to throw around. Most would know im 3 weeks since BU but here's a thought im having everyday..

Ive had 3 major relationships now.

1st - 4 years, after BU I left country, traveled and started new life abroad.

18 months later - 2nd - 12-13 years (married 10) BU, in a massive hole for 2 years. Got by and out hole to a point. Survived.

Whole 5 years late - 3rd. Current BU now, not coping well at all, as honestly deep down feel this was special/different.

NOW as in title, is it worth it in the end. Im now 43 just lost THE love of my life and thinking what is the point, IS IT ALL WORTH IT IN THE END.

You know it is brother. I'm 42 and also feel like I just lost the one, but I think it's going to be ok. Thank goodness for friends and family.

If you think back on your previous relationships, even the ones that still hurt, you are still grateful for the experience, no?

First was soon after finishing school, yes experience, 2nd, long time and haven't had a thought for over 4 years on that one, kids involved so guess I have them but nothing for the ex there.

This final one is still very raw..but I honestly saw a light for us and a future..but guess she didn't. Seriously after this one I'm sorry but I do really think it isn't worth it. Growing old alone afraid to love again just isn't that appealing...

Hey c'mon we're still young. I met a very nice couple the other day - they recently got married - he is 53 and she is 35..

There is still hope for us.

If she was the love of your life why not try it a bit more?

Yes, its about the journey, not the destination.

You're only 43.
