Is it weird and too much for me to text a girl good morning and good night even if we aren't texting at the moment of sleep or waking up? We are talking and I guess dating. I don't know if it would be considered sweet and help me out or be considered creepy and stray me away from me/

Ask her! :)

I dated someone for a few months and he would text me from about 5.30 am until the moment I went to sleep - for me it was too much and I did tell him that but he ignored me so I would then just reply when I had chance to.

He then got upset as I didn't reply quickly enough.

But - that was just me, you can find a way to ask her when you next see her..with a grin on your face and asking 'Hey, do I bug you when...?'. Her expression and response will tell you all you need to know.

personally I would like it. My bf and I do that now. We don't live in the same town and work different shifts, so texting when we can is easiest through the day when we can't see eachother. We'll text eachother good morning and good night even when we know the other isn't going to reply or see it at that moment. But once I get my phone and check messages it's sweet that he would think of me and leave that. We also do that randomely through the day/night with I love you's.

I would if she was my GF! But right now I don't want to be too clingy you know? If girls see it as a sweet gesture I am game but if I am doing it too much, I wouldn't want to be so clingy.
