Brief survey so we can increase our knowledge and make the world a better place!

Ladies 40 and over, if you meet a guy and he's got facial hair, is it a turn-on, a neutral, or a deal-breaker that sends you off?

It's a matter of personal preference. Personally I love facial hair.. It's sooo manly.. yummy.. anything from five o'clock shadow to normal beard. The zz-top/duck dynasty look is too much for me though.

I am not 40+ yet, but I want to share too!!! Lol. I hope that's okay.

I personally love hair. I like a little fuzz, (2-3 days of growth,) but not at all into beards. I do prefer a man with a well kept goatee, or thick chin strap. When it comes to body hair, it is almost mandatory a man is hairy. I think it is just sexy as hell.

If youre thinking about it, to turn chicks on, youre already a turn off.

I think it depends what part of the world you ask. over here (to the right of the US) most of the older women (30+ who are more traditional mindsets) love shaved/no hair. the crowd of younger women seem to like hairy or well kept short beards.

in my gym there are tons of guys who are with very short beards or even with heavy taliban type beards. gross. but most of them are gay so maybe its not relevant. I hate doing back workout, as I have to watch who's standing behind me.

I know every woman I dated loved me shaved. and I think it suits me better because it shows my muscular jaw and neck better and theres nothing more masculine than a guy with nice jawline/neck..and shoulders and back, and pecs and quads ..haha

hilarious are the ones who are skinny with a beard and there seems to be no proportion as the beard makes their heads look huge with this little boy/teenager body. nothing manly about that.

Yeah, I've got to agree with you, rocket man - the thinner guys should keep the facial hear really short. On the other point I also suspect you're right - by a small margin, I think 40ish ladies are probably going to lean against it (but given there are always exceptions)...

It's just a fun little survey... :) I'm a photographer, I'm getting one model, wondering whether he should have a little facial hair. I'd like to do some commercial work... This has to be appealing to ladies in the 40s and up...

Depends on the guy's face. Some guys pull it off, some can't.

I shave, girls love it. I used to have facial hair, got nowhere with women.

Well, assuming the model is going to be in the same age bracket you want him to appeal to, be careful that the facial hair is the same color as his head hair. For some reason, it seems that guys (especially non-brunets) can have lighter/grayer beard hair than head hair and that is a turn-off, imo.

I'm 42 and hate facial hair. Loads of my friends like it though

I think it depends on what circles you move in.

This is completely subjective. The preference ranges as wide as whether or not male baldness is preferred. Some ladies don't mind, but a lot of them do.
