ponchsox Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 It usually happens when we least expect it. There were times in my last relationship where an thought we were done after an argument and it didn't end. Then one day, just like we met, she ended it u expectedly. All reltionships have a shelf life. Some longer than others. Enjoy the good times while they last.
sambo77 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Agreed ponch. We just need a mechanism for identifying the bloody shelf life...it has to be hidden somewhere. I'm checking every nook and cranny on my next gf ;-)

I know/knew LOADS of people who have been together for 40-50 years and still going strong...or passed away. Just because relationships on this fourm don't last doesn't mean all won't. 2

Some relationships last forever, like freeze dried food. My relationships tend to be more like fresh milk. 3
Am4Real Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Now that was funny!!! I'm still giggling...very good sir! You're correct. Some relationships last forever, like freeze dried food. My relationships tend to be more like fresh milk.
HeartbrokenNewbie Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 You couldnt be more right x went on a date last night and we hit it off it was amazing... in one night the ex has been pushed to the back of my mind and I have a smile on my face for the first time in months so unexpected x
Am4Real Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Nice!! p.s. Don't allow the new date to be your fix to everything, rather think of it as an adjustment to your diet (since we seem to be rolling with food analogies). vassilbg Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 For once I'm doing something that I've never done before in my life... thats giving myself time to get OVER it ALL. In the past, I've been a serial dater. Never giving myself time to heal so everytime something ends, regardless of who ends it, ALL of the past break ups come to the surface and I have to deal with all those emotions. I'm breaking the cycle.

I'm breaking the cycle. I immediately felt like dating after my breakup and then realized being single is not so bad for a while.
