Anyone a member of these dating sites?

I've been reading reviews of chemistry.com and ourtime.com and noticed that they are subsidiaries of match.com. I don't know how many other subsidiary websites match.com owns. I plan to sign up next year on the cheapest one if it turns out they all use the same database of members. Why wouldn't you?

I discovered this deceptive marketing practice on a dating website I formerly subscribed to, so I signed up with the cheapest of that group, knowing that everyone could still contact me and I them.

So even if you aren't subscribed to match/ourtime/chemistry.com, you can probably search, right? Please see if you can find yourself (or pick one person) and then search for them on the other two sites, if searching is possible. Then let us know! You might be able to save LS members a bundle! Also I am hoping that if they notice a migration of members to the cheaper sites, they might drop the prices since they have plenty of competition from not only other paid sites but the free ones as well.

Chemistry was match's answer to e-harmony but I think it allows gay people who were not serviced by e-harmony.

OurTime caters to the over 40 crowd (So I really hope they aren't using the same data base)

Yes, they are MARKETING to different dating demographics on each site but I suspect that EVERYONE on those affiliated sites is lumped in the same, big database. I just want to know for sure without having to create fake profiles on all of them to search first.

In my situation I joined a geographically specific dating website only to discover people from all over the world were on there.

I'd imagine its the same database with different search tools and will probably preferentially pick people who signed up using the same site and then maybe use the rest of the database to fill out the search so you have 100's of pages of awful matches to search through.
