am I overthinking or my ex is dropping hints of wanting to come back?

a summary of my story: my ex dumped me 4 months ago due to GIGS. I went NC immediately. a month later he started to contact me and eventually asked me to hang out but canceled later cuz he wanted to go with his friends instead. I just felt the "friends" was some new girl and needless to say I refused to talk to him again. he apologised afterwards saying he was stupid selfish and he regreted not having spent the time with me. but im still not talking to him.

so three months later, which was like last week, I received a friend request from him on skype. I ignored it. week later I received a message from him asking how's life. I didn't reply. today I received an email saying he is following me on Twitter. of course I am not the only friend he follows so im not sure if it means anything. ..

 

I am trying to get over him. I can't convince myself to forgive someone who left me cuz of GIGS...but apparently im not there yet and his actions makes me wonder what he wants..

No, he could just be keeping tabs on you. You should just block him, then you'll see how keen he is to get back with you.

 

i am intrigued to see how keen he is to get back to me but how to block him when I dont have him on contact list at the first place? i dont plan to accept those requests either

And stop saying stuff like "due to GIGS". You're trying to find a reason for the unreasonable. Who cares "why" he broke up with you. He did it. Cut him out of your life, block him on all this social media, he doesn't deserve to keep up on your happenings.

Look at it this way: he might be lonely, he might be bored, he might miss you...hell, he MIGHT even be thinking about how he wants you back...but he's not SERIOUS about it, so it's not worth a minute of your time. Hell, it's probably not worth your time even if he does get serious.

 

He's trying to keep tabs on you, see where you're at, and see if you're still "on the hook". Anything you do will only satiate his interest and he'll vanish again, leaving you hurt and confused once again.
