Angry bird Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I am in skincare. I speak to women all day long. Today, I was talking relationships and break ups with this one girl. She told me her story... I hope this lifts some depression. She dated her college sweetheart for 10 years before he broke up with her. They lived together most of that time. She said by the end of the relationship he was being so mean to her, that she had no choice but to break up with him. She recalled the sheer agony she felt as she was moving out of the apartment they shared. Right before she handed him the keys, she stopped and said to him, "one day you are going to regret this." Fast forward a year...he visits her job in tears begging for her to come back to him. She showed him the door and never looked back. She said the first 6 months are so painful, but she forced herself out on dates and social outings. She cried everyday for those six months. Now, she is dating a new man, has her own place and a thriving career. She's an awesome gal too. Upon hearing her story, it really gave me hope, that all is not lost. Accept the pain and put one foot in front of the other. In the end it will make you a better person. I hold on to her story, it helps me move on and not "hope" he comes back. 3
