rockmanmegaman Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) Each time on of my friend gets a girlfriend, I feel happy for them but also sad for me because I know I'll get ditched later on (which happened a lot, but I learn to deal with it because I'm more happy for them then feeling sorry for myself). Anyway, so I have one friend who I am really close to, we hang out a lot, and it's fun. But yeah, I'm kinda scared that he won't spend much more time with me anymore. d0nnivain Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 When we were younger my female friends & I had a pact -- at least 2x a month we had girls' night so we wouldn't lose touch. Try to schedule interesting things to do with your buddy even one night every 2 weeks or so . . . just the guys. Try to keep it to something that his new GF won't think is all about him picking up other girls. Be friend the GF too. She may help you get your own GF. 1
jimloveslips Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Get a wider base of friends… What do you like doing? Rock climbing? (just a guess from the ID). Join a club. Meet up with like minded people... 1

Meet up with like minded people... No, I have other friends. I'm close with my other friends too, just that this one just gets me really upset seeing him eventually go. I know it'll eventually happen, but even then I was ready for it, it still hurts.
d0nnivain Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I just read your other post. Getting a GF isn't what you want. Did you think that this buddy was somebody you could date? I think you need to find somebody who loves you for you. He's out there.
